FEBA has made me grow into a responsible woman. I got a scholarship opportunity in one of the best schools. Through exposure leagues and tournaments, got chance to learn from the best minds thus making me a better decision maker. Looking forward to a productive member of the society and play an integral part in making the community a better place by giving children a chance in life as FEBA has done for many of us bringing hope to many of us.

helping with coaching
the young girls,
being part of the program taught me how to give more, made me a better person and a grateful one because not everyone

My journey in basketball started at FEBA where I got to learn the basics and fundamentals of the game. I grew up training under the same organization and did not only learn the skills of the game but also tricks and trades of life taught by my coaches. Coming from a humble background, had big dreams of making it, and the game was the only tool of trade. FEBA has been the sculptor to the man I am today. Long live FEBA.

My journey started at Kakuma refugee camp in 2015 where coach Shem, came to scout and picked 6 of us for a basketball scholarship. I had no idea of the game but he encouraged me to pursue it and I've never looked back since then. I completed my high school and joined Riara University on a partial scholarship where coach Shem and FEBA nation are supporting me. Through the confidence I've attained while working and being a member of FEBA has helped me to reach out other young South Sudanese girls at the Kakuma refugee camp to support them in their education.

All my life I've lived in Kenya after my family fled from the war in South Sudan. I met coach Moses who introduced me to FEBA after expressing my interest in basketball, since then I have made a family in the organization and always work to inspire the young ones in the organization to believe in themselves no matter what happens in their lives.

What Our Partners Say

As a school, (Chuka High School) collaborating with FEBA, we gave gained tremendously. We got two players under full scholarship by the school. My objective as a coach is emerging the best team in our county, competing favorably at the regional level and getting a slot to play at the national level which so far has been achieved because we are the county champions. We were set to play at regional level however, could not due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We hope to continue partnering with FEBA so as to achieve our goal of playing at the national level.

Sports help in sharpening the youths' discipline and behavior especially in teenage girls and boys. FEBA's determined and hard working coaching unit has played a big role in the community, having a big number of youths from different sub counties playing basketball. Working with FEBA has improved our performance in nurturing young talents and sports promotion in the community especially at the grassroots. FEBA has a big future ahead of them. Continue doing what you are doing, may God continue protecting you. It is a benefit to everyone.
